About Saltash Community School

Saltash Community School is a large 11-18 school situated in a beautiful part of Cornwall close to the Tamar Bridge. We serve the local community of Saltash and its surrounding villages, and around 10% of our students travel by bus from North-East Cornwall and Devon. We are a proud member of SMART, a Trust comprising three secondary and three primary schools.

"Great experience so far!"

My son has settled in well at Saltash Community School and the teachers are all very supportive. We love the focus on the Curriculum Kernewek and the opportunities for extra-curricular activities. The facilities are great and the school's values of Tenacity, Empathy, Aspiration and Motivation really shine through.

"Exceptional school - would highly recommend!"

We're so impressed with the school's approach to education and the dedication of the staff. My daughter has thrived since joining Saltash Community School and the ski trip last year was a highlight of her year! The school's commitment to providing the best quality care and education really shows.

"A mixed experience"

We had a good experience at Saltash Community School while our child was there, but there were a few issues with communication and organisation. The teachers were generally supportive and the Curriculum Kernewek was interesting, but we felt that the school could have done more to involve parents in the decision-making process.
