About Step by Step School Limited

Step by Step School is a small independent day school for pupils with autism. We provide specialised teaching for Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form pupils, aged 4 to 19, who have an autistic diagnosis. Our school was founded in 2004 by a group of parents who had been running home education programmes.

"Exceptional Education and Care"

Step by Step School has exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff are caring, patient, and dedicated to helping our son reach his full potential. We love the emphasis on values such as Laughter, Evidence, Aspire, Respect, Nurture, and Safe, which have helped him develop into a confident and empathetic young person.

"Transformative Experience"

Our son spent three years at Step by Step School, and it was a truly transformative experience for him. The ABA programs and therapies had a profound impact on his social and emotional development, and he gained confidence in himself and his abilities. We were particularly impressed by the school's commitment to individualised learning and its focus on helping children with autism reach their full potential.

"Mixed Feelings"

We have mixed feelings about our experience at Step by Step School. On the one hand, our daughter has made some great friends and has benefited from the school's emphasis on social skills and inclusion. On the other hand, we've experienced some challenges with communication and consistency, and we feel that the school could do more to engage with parents and keep us informed about our child's progress.
