Ysgol Beca

Ysgol Beca is a Welsh medium primary school located in the village of Efailwen, near Clunderwen, on the border between Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. The school serves approximately 60 pupils aged between 3 and a half and 11 years old, drawing students from surrounding areas such as Llanglydwen, Hebron, Login, Glandy Cross, and Llangolman. The majority of the curriculum is delivered in Welsh, with English introduced from Year 3. The school is proud of its historical connection to the Rebecca Riots, a series of 19th-century protests by farmers, and celebrates 'Merched Beca' day annually to commemorate this heritage. Facilities include effective use of outdoor areas to develop pupils' skills, reflecting a commitment to a broad and engaging curriculum.
