About Ridgeway Primary Academy

We are passionate about learning and helping every child to develop their skills and knowledge so that they can be the best that they can be. We are a PROUD member of the Tyne Coast Academy Trust, as the first school to join in 2013. Since then, as more schools have joined and the trust has grown stronger, Ridgeway has also gone from strength to strength, achieving a rating of ‘Good’ from Ofsted in 2016 which was confirmed in 2021.

"Wonderful school experience"

We've been so impressed with Ridgeway Primary Academy. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities are excellent. Our child loves the farm school and outdoor learning experiences. We're so grateful to have found such a wonderful school in South Shields.

"Some highs, some lows"

We've mixed feelings about Ridgeway Primary Academy. On the one hand, the school's values and approach to learning are really appealing, and our child enjoys the breakfast club and after-school activities. On the other hand, we've experienced some issues with communication and consistency in certain areas. We're hoping these will improve over time.

"Exceeded our expectations"

Our child attended Ridgeway Primary Academy a few years ago, and we were blown away by the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff. The commitment to inclusivity and diversity is something we really admire. We're so proud of the person our child became while at Ridgeway.
