Rhos Primary School

Rhos Primary School is a mixed co-educational primary school located on Neath Road in the semi-rural village of Rhos, near Swansea, Wales. Founded in 1908, the school has a rich history and is situated in a unique environment surrounded by farmland, hillsides, and valleys, which contributes to its distinctive character and culture. The school serves several local areas including Delffordd, Maes-y-Cornel, Cae Rhedyn, March Hywel, and nearby hamlets such as Cilybebyll and Gellinudd. The school campus consists of three buildings: The Old School (dating from 1908) with classrooms, a multimedia room/library, a 'Green Screen' room, and a reflection/quiet room; the Lower Building housing the Foundation Phase, kitchen, hall, offices, and staff room; and a demountable used for storage and extra classroom space. Rhos Primary emphasizes creating a lively, caring, and happy community where children can grow, learn, and develop their uniqueness, curiosity, and independence.
