About Churchward School

Churchward School is a unique special Free School for students aged 11-19 years with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Social Communication Interaction Difficulties (SCID). The school is built on the foundations of “Recognising strengths, gaining skills, achieving success” and provides bespoke curriculum and therapeutic packages designed around each student as an individual.

"Mixed Feelings about Churchward School"

We have mixed feelings about Churchward School. On the one hand, our child has made some good friends and the staff are generally supportive. However, we have experienced some communication issues and felt that our child's needs were not always met. The school's values are great, but we feel that they could be more consistently implemented.

"Excellent Support for our Son's Needs"

We are so grateful to the staff at Churchward School for the care and support they have given our son. Their bespoke curriculum and therapeutic packages have been tailored to his needs and have really helped him to thrive. The facilities are also excellent and provide a safe and welcoming environment for all the children.

"Outstanding School for Children with Autism"

Churchward School exceeded all our expectations when our child was a student there. The staff are dedicated, knowledgeable and caring, and the school's values of recognising strengths, gaining skills, and achieving success really shine through. We are so proud of the person our child has become and we know that Churchward School played a huge role in that.
