About Great Western Academy

Great Western Academy was built to serve the new community in Tadpole Garden Village and opened in 2018 in brand new, state-of-the-art facilities. The school has now grown to capacity with the very first cohort of students progressing to Year 13 in 2024/25. We believe we provide an exceptional education, instilling in students a humble confidence that will see them thrive beyond the school.

"Excellent School Experience"

We are so pleased with Great Western Academy. The state-of-the-art facilities are impressive and our child is thriving in the supportive environment. The ACE values are really evident in everything they do, from the daily reading time to the enrichment activities.

"Happy and Supportive School"

My child loves going to school and the staff are always so supportive. The laptop programme has been a game-changer for them and the Daily Reading Time is a great way to get them to read more. I've seen a real improvement in their confidence and academic progress.

"Great Experience, Minor Issues"

My child attended GWA for 3 years and had a great experience. The teachers were always available to discuss progress and the Successful Lives programme really helped them develop important life skills. However, the Sixth Form did feel a bit disorganised at times.
