King's College Prep

King's College Prep School, located near Pyrland Hall on Kingston Road in Taunton, Somerset, is a co-educational day and boarding preparatory school for children aged 2 to 13. The school has a rich history, originally established in 1953 and housed in the Grade II listed Pyrland Hall. It was formed from the amalgamation of Pyrland Hall School and King's House, a girls' preparatory school, and was known as King's Hall School until its renaming to King's College Prep School in September 2023. The school is part of the Woodard Corporation, an Anglican group of schools, and maintains a strong Church of England affiliation. The school offers a broad curriculum with a strong emphasis on academic, sporting, musical, and dramatic achievements, supported by excellent facilities set in a beautiful 50-acre rural location close to Taunton.
