About Ossett South Parade Primary

A warm, supportive and friendly school with high expectations in terms of behaviour, personal and academic progress and enjoyment. We have a 'whatever it takes' approach to ensure all of our pupils can read as soon as possible following the Little Wandle early reading programme. Our children are encouraged to explore, discover and question through a range of exciting learning opportunities.

"Wonderful school community"

We've been at South Parade for a few years now and I'm constantly impressed by the way the staff engage with the children and create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The focus on primary futures is really interesting and I love the way they tie in with real-life experiences. My child is thriving here!

"Some highs and lows"

We've had a mixed experience so far. The staff are generally lovely and the school's values are great. However, there have been a few instances where we've felt a bit left out of the loop or struggled to get in touch with the right person. Overall, though, we feel it's a good school and our child is happy here.

"Excellent facilities and great teaching"

We moved out of the area a few years ago, but our kids still talk about their time at South Parade. The school's commitment to outdoor learning and the Little Wandle reading programme really stood out to us. The facilities are top-notch and the staff are always friendly and approachable.
