About Hawkley Hall High School

We are an 11 – 16 mixed comprehensive of around 1185 students and 186 staff situated to the west of Wigan. We are a community of students, staff, parents and governors with a common goal. We strive for the highest standards in everything we do.

"Excellent School Experience"

My child was initially shy but the supportive teachers and staff at Hawkley Hall helped her grow in confidence. They take the 'Hawkley Way' seriously and it shows in the students' behaviour and attitude. The facilities are great too, especially the sports centre.

"Excellent Facilities and Staff"

Hawkley Hall has exceeded our expectations. The sports centre is fantastic and my child loves the extracurricular activities. The staff are friendly and approachable, always willing to listen to concerns. We feel lucky to have found this school.

"Outstanding Education"

My son had an incredible experience at Hawkley Hall. The academic standards were high and the teachers were always available to help. The school's commitment to mutual respect was evident in the way the students treated each other. I have no hesitation in recommending this school.

"Good School, Room for Improvement"

We've been pleased with Hawkley Hall overall. The teachers are knowledgeable and the school's facilities are great. However, my child sometimes finds the workload too much and the school could do more to support students with this. We're hoping to see some improvements in this area.
