About Lockyer's Middle School

Lockyer's Middle School is part of a successful pyramid of first, middle and upper schools in the Corfe Mullen area and is part of Initio Learning Trust. Our children join us in Year 5, aged 9 and make the important transition from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3, before moving to upper school at the end of Year 8, aged 13.

"Excellent experience for my child"

I can honestly say that Lockyer's Middle School has exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff are dedicated, friendly and supportive, and the facilities are first-rate. My child has settled in well and is thriving academically and socially. The value of kindness, empathy and respect that the school promotes is wonderful to see in action.

"Good but could improve"

We're relatively new to Lockyer's Middle School and have had a mixed experience so far. The staff are generally friendly and the facilities are good, but sometimes the communication from the school can be a bit patchy. My child is enjoying the school and is making friends, but I think the school could do more to engage with parents and keep us informed about what's going on.

"Great school with lots of opportunities"

Both my children attended Lockyer's Middle School and had a fantastic experience. The school provides a wide range of extracurricular activities and sports teams, which helped them to develop new skills and make friends. The staff are very supportive and the facilities are excellent. I would highly recommend the school to anyone considering it.
