Situated at the heart of the beautiful village of Shipham, on the edge of the Mendip Hills in Somerset, our small yet dynamic school provides an exceptionally caring and nurturing learning environment in which we aim to make all learners, aged from 2 to 9 years old, feel happy, secure and safe.

"Wonderful School in a Stunning Setting"

My child has loved their time at Shipham Church of England First School. The school's focus on nature and community is evident in every aspect of the school day, and the staff are always happy to chat about their latest outdoor adventures. The school's facilities are also top-notch, with a beautiful playground and a lovely pre-school area.

"A School that Truly Cares"

We've been so impressed with Shipham Church of England First School's approach to education. The staff are caring and supportive, and the school's values of kindness and respect are evident in everything they do. My child loves coming to school and is thriving in a happy and inclusive environment.

"Some Great Aspects, but Room for Improvement"

We had a mixed experience at Shipham Church of England First School. On the plus side, the school's location is lovely and the pre-school area is well-equiped. However, we felt that the school could do more to engage with parents and keep them informed about what their child is learning. With a bit more effort in this area, I think the school could be truly excellent.
