About Westfield Nursery and Primary School

We are an average sized Primary school in the heart of West Cumbria, with easy access to the beautiful Solway Coast and the Lake District. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school where everyone has the ability to thrive, grow and take part in a variety of learning activities and opportunities.

"Excellent Foundation for Life"

I have two children who attended Westfield Nursery and Primary School, and I must say that it's an excellent school that laid a solid foundation for their future. The staff are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the children receive the best possible education. The 'Poverty Proofing' initiative is particularly impressive and shows the school's commitment to supporting disadvantaged families.

"Best School in Workington!"

My children have been attending Westfield Nursery and Primary School for 3 years now and I'm so impressed with the care and education they receive. The 'Be Resilient, Be Respectful, Be Unique, Be Our Best' ethos is truly alive in this school and I love how it encourages individuality and creativity. The staff are always approachable and supportive, and the facilities are always clean and well-maintained.

"Love the Curriculum"

I'm so impressed with the curriculum offered by Westfield Nursery and Primary School. My child loves the hands-on and engaging approach to learning, and it's fantastic to see how well it brings out their creativity and problem-solving skills. The staff are always enthusiastic and encouraging, making it a pleasure to send my child to school every day.

"Mixed Feelings"

I'm a bit torn about how I feel about Westfield Nursery and Primary School. On the one hand, I love the 'Be Our Best' ethos and the way it encourages the children to strive for excellence. On the other hand, I've noticed that some of the facilities could do with some improvement, and I've had a few issues with communication from the school. Overall, I think it's a good school, but there's definitely room for improvement.
