About Meavy Church of England Primary School

We are a small rural village school situated on the edge of Dartmoor where the children are at the heart of all we do. Our children have a thirst for learning and our school is a happy and harmonious place to learn and grow.

"Happy and Engaged Child"

Our child has been at Meavy CE Primary School for a year now, and we are delighted with their progress. The school's emphasis on outdoor learning and its stunning location on the edge of Dartmoor have made a real difference to their love of learning. We highly recommend the school to anyone considering it.

"Wonderful School Experience"

We have had a fantastic experience at Meavy Church of England Primary School. My child has thrived in the supportive and nurturing environment, and we are grateful for the values of Respect, Hope, Love, Joy, and Wisdom that are woven into daily life. The outdoor learning opportunities on the edge of Dartmoor are a particular highlight.

"Excellent Education and Community"

We were sad to leave Meavy CE Primary School when our children moved on to secondary school, but we are still in touch with many of the teachers and friends we made during our time there. The school's commitment to its values and the local community is truly impressive, and we feel grateful to have been a part of it.

"Good but Room for Improvement"

We are generally pleased with Meavy CE Primary School, but we do feel that the school could do more to support children with special needs. Our child's SENCo has been very helpful, but we have had to advocate for additional resources on occasion. That being said, the school's values and commitment to the local community are truly commendable.
