About Hockliffe Lower School

Hockliffe Lower School is a small, friendly village school, set in the attractive Bedfordshire countryside. The beauty of the school grounds provides a wide range of outdoor areas, which are a source of inspiration for our children’s learning. We have a trained Forest School teacher, so that all of our children have the opportunity each year to extend their learning in a dedicated outdoor space.

"A wonderful school for our little ones"

My daughter has settled in beautifully at Hockliffe Lower School. We love the Forest School program and the dedication to teaching values such as hope and kindness. The playground is a particular highlight and I've noticed how much confidence she's gained since starting here.

"An outstanding school that truly cares"

As a parent, it's a relief to know that your child is safe and supported in a school that genuinely prioritises their well-being. Hockliffe Lower School has exceeded our expectations in every way, from the friendly staff to the excellent facilities. The monthly values are also a lovely touch!

"A good school, but some room for improvement"

My child attended Hockliffe Lower School a few years ago and we had a generally positive experience. The teachers were supportive and the school's values were evident in the way they taught. However, I felt that the school could have done more to engage with parents and keep us informed about our child's progress.
