About Lantern Lane Primary and Nursery School

Our school is a welcoming place to learn for children aged 3 to 11 and is situated in East Leake, a village between Loughborough and Nottingham. A school has stood on this site for 70 years with the current building being opened in September 2003; we are proud of our well-equipped classrooms, dedicated staff and our caring and inclusive community.

"Good school, some issues with communication"

We've been at the school for a year now and overall we're pleased. The teachers are great, the children love it and the facilities are excellent. However, we've noticed that communication with parents can be a bit poor at times, it would be great to have more regular updates.

"Excellent school with caring staff"

My child has thrived here, the teachers are so caring and supportive. The facilities are excellent, the children have access to a wide range of resources. The C.A.R.E values are really making a difference, my child feels confident and happy.

"Really happy with the school"

My child is in Year 3 and loves the school. The teachers are great, the facilities are excellent and the C.A.R.E values are really making a difference. I do wish there were more opportunities for parent involvement, but overall we're really happy.

"Amazing school, amazing community"

We were so sad to leave the school, but our child was ready for secondary school. The community is really special, the teachers and staff are like family. We loved the dyslexia friendly approach and the opportunities for the children to learn outside the classroom.
