About St Philip Neri With St Bede Catholic Voluntary Academy

Our school is situated in the heart of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, and has a rich history, which dates back to 1925! The current school site opened in 1960, originally as St. Bede's for secondary pupils. By living our Mission Statement: "We put Christ at the centre of our lives", our children are proud to profess their faith, have a love of learning, a love of themselves, each other and our world.

"Love the community spirit!"

We've had our child at St Philip Neri with St Bede for a few years now and have been really impressed with the school's values and commitment to Christ. The facilities are great, especially the playground, and the teachers are always supportive. We feel our child is getting a well-rounded education and is happy every day!

"Excellent school with a great headteacher!"

I've been blown away by the school's ELSA program and the support it provides for our child. The headteacher, Mr Steele, is always approachable and clearly cares deeply about each child's well-being. We feel very lucky to have our child at St Philip Neri with St Bede!

"Good, but could improve communication"

We had our child at St Philip Neri with St Bede for a few years and generally enjoyed our experience. However, there were times when communication with the school was a bit lacking, and it would be great to have more updates on what's going on in the classroom. That being said, the teachers were lovely, and our child got a great education!
