Melin Primary

Melin Primary School is a learning community located in the Melincryddan area of Neath, Wales, serving pupils from Nursery to Year 6. The school operates across two sites on Mile End Row, with the Foundation Phase site originally built in 1893 as a secondary school and extensively remodelled in 1978 to accommodate infant children. The Melin Infant and Melin Junior schools amalgamated on September 1st, 2016 to form the current Melin Primary School. The school has a rich history dating back to 1873 when the first school building was constructed in the area, and it continues to serve as an important educational institution in the local community with approximately 250 pupils and mixed gender enrollment.
