About Wordsworth Primary and Nursery School

I am delighted to welcome you to our school. Wordsworth is a large Primary and Nursery school, re-built in 2013, in the Shirley area of West Southampton. There is something very special about Wordsworth that people notice as soon as they step through the door.

"Mixed Feelings"

We've had a bit of a mixed experience at Wordsworth Primary and Nursery School so far. My daughter is in Year 2 and enjoys her classes, but I'm not entirely convinced about the approach to homework and some of the communication from the teachers could be better. Overall, it's an okay school, but I think it has potential for improvement.

"Exceptional Nursery Experience!"

My daughter attended the nursery at Wordsworth Primary and Nursery School, and I can honestly say it was an exceptional experience. The staff were caring and supportive, and the facilities were modern and well-maintained. I particularly liked the focus on learning values such as trust, community, and empowerment.

"Great Forest School Program!"

My son is in Year 4 at Wordsworth Primary and Nursery School, and he loves the Forest School program. The teachers are passionate about getting the children outdoors and learning through hands-on activities. The school's commitment to its values shines through in the way they approach education and community building.
