About Black Horse Hill Junior School

Black Horse Hill Junior School is a 'Good' school where all of the teachers and support staff work very hard to help provide the right environment for our children to feel safe and happy and to flourish and learn in school. We aim to give the pupils a wide and varied curriculum, with the hope that every child who leaves this school has had the opportunity to discover what their strengths are. Our school values of: Excellence, Motivation & Hard Work, Perseverance, Politeness and Good Manners, Friendship, Kindness, Honesty and Respect are the things we treasure and things that help our pupils to develop into polite, respectful young adults.

"Excellent transition from infant school!"

Our child had a great experience at Black Horse Hill Infant school, and the transition to the junior school has been seamless. The staff have been fantastic in helping our child adjust to the new year group and have given us regular updates on their progress. We're really impressed with the school's SEND support and the way they've included our child in the curriculum. Highly recommended!

"Excellent School - Highly Recommend!"

We've had a child at Black Horse Hill Junior School for the past two years and have been consistently impressed with the dedication and hard work of the staff. The school's values of Excellence, Motivation & Hard Work, Perseverance, Politeness and Good Manners, Friendship, Kindness, Honesty and Respect are truly reflected in the way the children are taught and encouraged. We couldn't be happier with our decision to send our child here!

"Good school with a great atmosphere"

We moved out of the area last year, but our child still speaks highly of their time at Black Horse Hill Junior. The staff were always friendly and supportive, and the school's emphasis on community and kindness is really evident. Our only criticism is that the school could do more to engage parents in the learning process, but overall it's a great place for kids to learn and grow.
