The Deanes is a small secondary school in Thundersley, Essex. Our school ethos of 'iMatter,' is reflected in our 6 Promises, which underpin our vision for each and every one of our students. We believe in creating a happy, respectful and inclusive environment where every individual is known and valued.

"Fantastic School Experience"

I have been so impressed with The Deanes since my child started in September. The facilities are excellent, and the staff are always friendly and approachable. The 'iMatter' ethos really shines through, and I love the emphasis on character education.

"Excellent Teaching and Support"

I've been really pleased with the teaching and support my child has received at The Deanes. The staff are always willing to help, and the school's commitment to personal development is evident in the many opportunities they offer. My child is thriving and enjoying their time at the school.

"Good school with some areas for improvement"

I have a positive view of The Deanes, but there were a few areas where we felt the school could improve. The curriculum was varied and engaging, but sometimes the homework was excessive. Overall, I think the school does a good job of promoting the 'iMatter' values.
