We encourage children to take ownership of and responsibility for their learning, so they have the confidence and curiosity to ask questions, solve problems and respond to quality feedback.

"Love everything about East Whitby!"

I've been so impressed with the way the teachers and staff at East Whitby Academy have helped my child grow and develop over the past few years. The Communication and Interaction Targeted Mainstream Provision has been a game-changer for her and the whole school is just so supportive and inclusive. We feel so lucky to be part of the East Whitby community.

"A warm and welcoming school"

My daughter has only just started at East Whitby but we've already been made to feel so welcome. The staff are all so friendly and the facilities are excellent, especially the outdoor play areas. We're really looking forward to seeing her thrive here.

"A mixed experience"

We moved to the area a few years ago and my kids started at East Whitby, but unfortunately we had to leave due to family circumstances. While the school had some wonderful aspects, such as the commitment to SEND support and the enthusiasm of the teachers, we did find that the communication with parents could be patchy at times. Hopefully they've made some improvements since we left!
